Winter Cross Country
During the winter months, the Centre conducts a cross country competition at Bannockburn Oval. The course winds around the outskirts of the oval, and starts at 3:15pm each Sunday. The 2010 season will start on 2 May 2010 and continue until 1 August 2010. On the first day, athletes can register from 2:30pm and there will be a course orientation at 3:00pm allowing all runners and parents to walk the courses.
A Cross Country handicap event is run in mid-June. The handicap is based on a runners PB for the season. The slowest PB will start at the gun with the next slowest setting off at the difference between their PB and the slowest, and so on.
Runners in the Handicap race are asked to check out their handicap and turn up with their handicap written on their left hand. Those competing in the open race should have that handicap written on their right hand.

The 2009 season involved 198 athletes. Athletes from the Manly Warringah, Northern Suburbs, Ryde, North Rocks, Carlingford and Northern Districts Centres ran with our Ku-ring-gai athletes.
