PARENT HELP ROSTER

One of the main purposes of Little Athletics is to have families enjoy doing something together and this is a critical factor in the success of the Ku-ring-gai Little athletics Centre. It assists in the smooth running of our Saturday morning competitions as well as behind-the scenes administrative support and Centre management. Parents are rostered to help at least one week in three during the competition season.

Some parents are able to assist more frequently, and we welcome their contribution. Parent assistance involves being on duty for the whole morning. Many different duties are available including timing, marshalling, recording, writing tickets, data entry, athlete management (assisting your child's age manager), setting up equipment, helping in the canteen and with the BBQ. Key Assistants co-ordinating these areas support the parents and provide guidance on the rules and safety requirements. Parents are encouraged to become accredited officials.

Parent help is Compulsory. The Centre will contact parents who fail to assist with duty.

Duty Club Roster for Parent Helpers:

At least two Clubs will be rostered on duty each Saturday, though on some special days (eg our Septathlon day) more will be needed. The Duty Club roster will be published on a weekly basis, in advance, in our newsletter, and reminder emails will be sent each week to all parents who will be rostered on the following Saturday. Parents should expect to be rostered on at least once every three weeks.
